Schneider's huge freight base provides drivers with the best time-at-home in the industry because there is always a load going in the direction of your home. The Schneider fleets average over six million miles and deliver 14,500 loads per day.

Schneider operates several training facilities throughout the U.S. Training is provided at no cost to the individual, but they must agree to drive for Schneider for a specified period or they will be billed for the training. Lodging is provided as is a small allotment for Lunch (the motels usually have some sort of breakfast, but this may be coffee and donuts)....facilities vary, so this may be taken care of differently in Pennsylvania than in Texas. There is 11 days of Classroom/In-truck training, one week of Jump Start, a program intended to improve skills learned during the 11-day course, and usually two weeks on the road with a Training Engineer, actually picking up and delivering freight. After that there is a one-day final exam called SQT, Skill Qualification Testing.
